Independence Day: Remember folks, dissent is still patriotic, and so am I. Thanks, Go-Daddy!

June 10, 2009: It's a typical New Hampshire June. The black flies have flown and now only skeeters and deerflies dodge the raindrops in dim, damp and dingy Dover. This only serves to make the pastry Dapper Don serves up at Cafe Ciabatta more precious. Up north, Predator Pond is slowly filling, but the lake is still well short of the sand. More coins have arrived:

And lots more...

Memorial Day: Nice weather, lake filling, orders going out. Life is good - thanks to those who died making sure fat and happy me could lie about. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines, thanks to all. Oh, and thanks to the Coasties as well ;)

May 08, 2009:Another weekend! This IS a good thing. I am going to list a few items, in between chasing arount the grandchildren...

April 30, 2009: I am still here. The pressures of my "real job" have kept me from listing - or shipping - many items. Oh, and the black flies are back in all their blood lapping glory. (They don't suck your blood, they rip a chunk out of you and lap up the blood which pools there).

Glad to see that the Bruins took out Les Habitants...

April 6, 2009: Opening day at Fenway was rained out, but I have some nice dry coins for you. I have Montreal Canadien Dollars for you. There are Indian 2009 2 Rupees, as well as Lithuanian 2009 Litas, and Harrison Dollars.

March 28, 2009: The transition from frost to mud is well underway by the arid shores of what we now refer to as Predator Pond. It is not called that because there are alligators. Rather at least two former residents - not natives - have spent serious penitentiary time for pederasty...

March 14, 2009: I just finished going through my uncirculated stock from that paragon of good-government, Zimbabwe. I found some unexpected dates and have listed all that I have.

March 11, 2009: Warmer weather merely means that the snow is gloppier. New arrivals include some most excellent coins from Jordan.   Bhutan has also gotten some upgrading.

February 25, 2009: Went back up to the HQ last night and get the internet situation straightened out. Also got 15 shipments out the door for a rare Wednesday shipment. No sign of spring in the New Hampshire hills - none at all.

February 23, 2009: More snow. Wet snow. Deep snow. No internet at DFD World HQ. End of auction emails are delayed. 29 shipments this past weekend. I live here why???

February 21, 2009: The snowy weather has returned. The plowed snowbank in my driveway has eclipsed half the garage. Ordinarily, the normal thaws would have reduced the pile. Not this year. Late in February, it looks like early January out here.

I have restocked Marshall Islands and can offer 2 or 3 each of 5 different types.

February 16, 2009: It is getting a bit busier...

February 9, 2009:Not so much to speak of this week either. I have some 2009 EMU Commemorative Euros from Malta and Slovenia. At least for now, I am unlikely to get more countries immediately. The exchequer is somewhat drained at the moment, and I will not be dropping the best part of a c-note on rolls anytime soon.

I do have a good backlog of product samples I bought from a large coin merchant, who had used them for stock photos, and I have been adding them slowly. You all tell me, what country should I add next?

Two days of melting have exposed patches of pavement here and there, but it remains snowbound elsewhere. Whatever fools say about the climate - the weather is as cold and snowy here as ever I remember...

February 2, 2009:There are a few new items this week. I went through the Eqyptian coins and added several new (to me) 10 piastre types in a very nice uncirculated grade.

I also picked up a roll of the latest 2009 Native American Dollar. Don't be looking in your change for these. No matter how many they mint, nobody seems to want them as currency.

The last snowstorm turned to sleet after dumping several inches on me and it made for some nasty time with the Snowblower. I find myself watching television ads for Key West and wondering what it would be like to live in the Conch Republic.

I got about 30 items out the door this past weekend and and the next shipment will go out on Saturday, February 7.

January 27, 2009:More snow is forecast for tomorrow. Will keep you posted. FWIW I am on Facebook...

January 26, 2009:It was a quiet week at DiggaFromDover World Headquarters, located on the shores of Sundried Lake in the New Hampshire Hills. New items came in - notably a new Panamanian Quarter Balboa, some excellent Crowns and some magnificent Yugloslav Monarchic coins from 1938. You can find them in New Items.

27 Shipments went out and the next lot is scheduled for the last day of January.

It is very cold in New Hampshire right now. Most of the state is or has been below zero today. It is cold enough that the snow has remained granular and is still blowing and drifting on the lake bed. Even in the towns, snowbanks remain unremoved and side streets are difficult to navigate.

On the plus side, winter sports of all kinds are having their best year in a long time. In particular, Snowmobilers are enjoying spectacular conditions. The Poor People's Pub is jam packed with them on weekend afternoons. They park on the lake shore and walk in. The PPP is Sanbornvilles premier attraction, serving up great grub with a hobo theme. Sanbornville is a tough town. Somebody robbed the bank and bystanders apprehended the man.
